Amid advancing decarbonization cooperation such as CEFIA between Japan and ASEAN, and Japan and Brazil, this seminar aims to strengthen trilateral collaboration by introducing the latest biofuel-related technologies and systems, where Japan, ASEAN, and Brazil share common strengths.
Introducing Brazil as a model where biofuel adoption is progressing, the efforts of ASEAN countries with high production and utilization potential will be highlighted. Linking these efforts with Japan’s advanced high-efficiency mobility technologies will demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach for practical decarbonization in Global South countries and promote global dissemination of related technologies and expertise.
In the Global South, biofuels attract attention not only as a decarbonization measure but also for energy security and economic viability. This seminar will accelerate collaboration among governments and industry-academia sectors to pursue sustainable and effective decarbonization solutions within the Japan-ASEAN-Brazil framework.
